Composition, as a course of study

A written program that takes a player from scales to finished pieces. Part A is twenty lessons of foundations, anchored on Greg’s Weekly Piano videos. Hands and touch, theory, every mode, goal notes, motivic development, notation.

Part B runs thirty-seven lessons through Understanding Music from a Compositional Perspective, mapping each idea onto music people actually want to write now. Meshuggah, Radiohead, King Crimson, Tigran Hamasyan, Nancarrow. Anyone can follow it.
